Franui refers to the name of an alpine pasture in the Tyrolean village of Innervilgraten. This is where almost all of the musicians of the ensemble are from. No reason to worry though: no Lederhosen and Dirndls here, but an excellent wood and brass section. Their Mahler adaptations remain true to the original, but leave room for a wink. Franui and baritone Daniel Schmutzhard interpret gems such as ‘Urlicht ', 'Um Mitternacht’ and ‘Nicht Wiedersehen'. After concerts in the Wiener Festwochen and the Mozarteum Salzburg, they perform in Belgium for the first time!
