The 75-year-old Bernhard Leitner examines the relationship between sound, body and space. As an architect and sound art pioneer, he builds installations in which sound is made to travel through space, and investigates how bodies and sound interact. Leitner proposes to listen with the body. After exhibitions at the Hamburger Bahnhof (Berlin) and the Documenta in Kassel, he is now our guest in Kortrijk. Guest curator Carsten Seiffarth (Hörgalerie Singuhr, Berlin) has selected a number of quintessential works from Leitner’s extensive oeuvre.
